Today is the 8th Anniversary of the death of Sister Mildred Nuezil. Please remember her in your prayers and please pray for all the intentions of Our Lady of America.
Sr. Mildred worked tirelessly with the Holy Spirit and with the cooperation of the Bishops to make the messages of Our Lady of America known among the faithful. She prayed for purity of heart to be re-established among the people of this country as Our Lady wished the American people to honor God through this virtue.
Sister prayed for the sanctification of family to once again be enjoyed in America, and she prayed this would come through emulating the Holy Family of Nazareth -- Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Sr. Mildred had a deep understanding of the Holy Indwelling of the Holy Spirit and wanted everyone to contemplate this great mystery of our faith.
Sr. Mildred went home to the Lord on January 10, 2000 in Fostoria, Ohio.
In honor of Sister's anniversary we announce today the coming in February a new marble statue of Our Lady of America. Throughout the years it has been difficult to find an artist capable of capturing the beautiful details of Our Lady as she appeared to Sister Mildred. However, in August of 1999 Sister Mildred predicted that eventually "an American artist would be found who would overcome all the obstacles of artistry and be able to authentically reproduce the image of Our Lady of America and to retain this image in pure white color."
The artist of this marble statue is a renowned sculptor and comes from America. The new statues are carved into white marble and/or additionally, the marble may be painted. The sizes for these statues will be 12 and 19 inch. Soon after these statues are made, the artist will make larger chapel sizes available for churches and organizations.
